Knitted Knockers UK

This post has been guest written by Jackie, Chair of Trustees from Knitted Knockers.

Who are we? We are a Registered UK Charity that supplies free of charge knitted knockers to ladies post Mastectomy and Lumpectomy surgery.  An alternative to the prosthesis supplied, they are adjustable, washable, FREE, did I mention that?  Ladies find them light and comfortable to wear.  They are made from 100% cotton yarn to order by an authorised volunteer.  Find us at www.knittedknockersuk.com  on Twitter @knitknockersuk   and https://www.facebook.com/knittedknockersuk?ref=aymt_homepage_panel

This is Kay the lady whose knocker order started theKay dressing up group in the UK when our founder, Jo, picked up her order via an American Knockers group. This was January 2014. After chatting they thought “ok why not start a UK group? and the rest as they say is history…
the charity became Registered in March this year 2015, a massive achievement.

Recently we have added a new Knocker to the Aquas Adrange; we call it the Aqua. It is designed to be worn for water sports, ‘and also those lovely evenings lounging in a hot tub..these are made from one specific acrylic yarn, the UK ones are sent stuffed with bath scrunchies which do not hold the water as much as the normal stuffing does.  Overseas orders are sent out unstuffed, but with clear instructions on what to do for the recipient to follow.
